E3 Approaches…

…and I have my badge.

I see that the registration completion & what I assume is lanyard pickup starts at 8, so I think I’ll be turning up early this year (even though the show doesn’t start until 10 on the first day). Last year I turned up at 10 and spent 2 hours queueing for my badge pickup.

I approximately 193 hours I will be wandering in a paradise of electronic gratification, swimming in a sea of free t-shirts, and blinking amongst a bevy of booth babes.

As I’m sure you’ve heard by now, this year E3 plans to more stringently apply the dress code. No nudity, semi-nudity or bikini bottoms, on pain of a verbal warning, then $5000 fine and ejection from the show. Booo! Does this mean I’m going to have to take photos of…

If history is any guide, I'm not good at taking photos. Actually, that's not quite accurate. I take care over the taking of the photos, and they generally come out pretty well. I don't cut off feet or heads. However, the hard part is actually remembering to take the photos. I can quite easily leave the camera in my pocket all day.

But I will try to bring back some evidence. If all else fails, we have to rely on. He's a compulsive collector and documentor of everything.
